Biometrics recognises people by features: face, fingerprint, iris or the way they walk. That is not a good idea everywhere. We first look at your goal and at the data you really need for it. Then we review the privacy requirements. Sometimes a different solution is better, and then we say so.
Identity management is about whether someone is who they say they are, and who may then access what. That applies to identity verification and to digital identities. The scope is broad: from the eNiK, a plastic card with encrypted data, and the Wallet, a more sovereign solution, to connections in the Europaloket, where different European rules on identity come together.
